Shiree Allen
Originally from New Zealand, Shiree Allen creates a series of images, reflections and visual snap shots of being in the outside space. Her works focus on the urban and natural environment that spontaneously catch her eye and interpreted through a mixture of digital fine art and photography, telling a story of being 'Out and About' in South London and the UK. Having studied painting, printmaking, photography and design, her printed images tell a story about snippets of life through the need for space, endurance in a congested built-up environment, the indication of human life left outside in the street, empty buildings and general activity in the outside world.
Her limited-edition fine art Gicleé prints are a reference to modern technology versus the idea of 'fine art' in the modern age, exploring the layering of image and the deconstruction of the graphic process.
