Hannah Britten
Hannah Britten
Alumni of Camberwell College of Arts, poet and sculptor Hannah Britten creates pieces that dodge and blur boundaries between both forms. Her work currently focusses on playing and reprocessing the unending stream of information and noise from modern life.
Hannah’s writing has been described by poet Fran Lock as “playfully engaging in our trivia-obsessed cultural moment, and the marketised jargon that bleeds unbidden into the sound-scape of daily life”.
In new works from her series MoMents Hannah brings a longtime obsession of digital mis-fires together with her writing practice to create large-scale textile hangings that amplify and elevate fleeting moments of the everyday.
