My ceramic work is inspired by organic forms, natural textures and the imperfect beauty found in nature. I am especially interested in how surfaces can suggest growth, erosion and the passage of time through marks, layers and texture.
Working by hand allows me to respond intuitively to the clay, creating forms that feel both familiar and abstract. I embrace irregularity as way or showing process, touch and material character. Through my work I aim to create quiet, tactile objects that encourage the observer to slow down, look closely and connect with the natural world.
