Little Pot Shop - Jema Avedian
Amelia B. Kyazze is a British–American photographer and writer. She has exhibited her photography in New York, Oxford, and across London. Before becoming a full-time creative, Kyazze spent two decades working for humanitarian organisations as a photographer and policy writer. In that time she travelled to over 40 countries in the Balkans, Africa, Asia and Europe.
Since 2015, she pivoted to focus more on creative writing and publishing fiction. Her first two novels, Into the Mouth of the Lion and Ahead of the Shadows are based on photographs and notebooks from her work in Angola, DR Congo, and Darfur, Sudan. Writing as Amelia Kyazze, her latest books, The Café on Manor Lane and The Cinema on Jósef Boulevard are stories set in southeast London about the kindness of strangers and the nostalgic power of cinema.
