I’m an artist living and working in Catford. I work with oil paint on paper, canvas or board, exploring minimalism and non-representational abstraction. With my current painting practice I'm experimenting with: texture; a limited colour palette; and the method of paint application (or removal) with a squeegee or rag, rarely using a brush. Layers of paint are relentlessly rubbed, scraped, scratched and rearranged adding depth and complexity.
I often rework paintings again and again; and I enjoy the finished work that reflects the collision of new on top of old.
