Jo Bigmore Ceramics
My love for houseplants led me to discover pottery, where I found a new way to connect with creativity and nature. I create functional or decorative items such as plant pots, trinket dishes, and wall hangings.
I slab or hand-build each piece using stoneware clay and I work slowly to allow for individuality and the quirks of handmade craft. My focus is on surface decoration and what I can print into the clay to leave a lasting impression.
I’m inspired to do this by the plants in my garden, a love of textiles, and the occasional hint of pop art.
