Fiona Chambers
Fiona Chambers
I am a visual artist working at the intersection of painting, textiles, and mixed media. My practice explores the complexities of inhabiting a physical, imperfect body in contrast with the sleek, immaterial nature of digital existence. Themes of transformation, motherhood, mortality, and memory surface through layered, process-driven works that move fluidly between abstraction and figuration.
I will be weaving on my rigid heddle loom over the weekend and would love to share the process with you. I studied Painting (BA) in the National College of Art, Dublin (2006) and completed the MA Fine Art in Chelsea College of Art and Design (2011). I recently took part in the Turps Banana Correspondence Course (2020-22) and have exhibited internationally and throughout Ireland and the UK.
