Bread and Roses Ceramics
Bread and Roses Ceramics
My inspiration is drawn from natural forms – the sea, flora and natural forms. I work with stoneware clay with intricate design, hand painted in underglaze, flowing textures of moving glazes and sculpted forms adoring otherwise everyday piece. My journey with clay is one that is evolving through practice. It is an absolute joy.
My desire is to create beautiful, unique and thoughtful pieces that are accessible to a wide variety of audiences. Pieces that can be loved, cherished, used and admired. I believe that beauty is just as important as basic necessities. That as complex and wonderful humans we need bread, but we also need roses.
