Blueschein Printshed
Blueschein Printshed
I am a photographer based in Catford, London, working primarily with cyanotype and I run Blueschein Printshed. My practice explores the meeting point between nature, light and time. Using one of the earliest photographic processes, I create Prussian-blue prints that preserve botanical forms, found objects and everyday materials. I often use collected seaweed and other finds, to make something new out of familiar objects crafting abstract floral, botanical and captivating underwater scenes.
My approach is practical but also organic, shaped by my enjoyment of nature. Finding things and looking towards the moment of unpredictability on the paper, I love. Alongside my studio work, I lead cyanotype workshops where participants can experience the same sense of curiosity and discovery that drives my own practice. These exchanges often inspire new directions and keep my process connected to people as much as to materials.
